Bunton Lawn
Equipment
By the mid-1960s, the second
generation of Buntons had taken charge of various
company operations.
Winfrey P. Bunton Jr. led the
Bunton Seed Co. at the new location at 939 E.
Jefferson and his brother, Herbert F. Bunton, led
the lawn equipment division to become a spin-off
company.
The lawn equipment concern,
called The Bunton Co., operated on Poplar Level
Road. Years later, that company was acquired by
another lawn equipment manufacturer -- and a line
of mowers is still produced that carries the Bunton
brand name.
The 1966 catalog was among
the first to feature the company's current Bunton's
Seed logo.

of Bunton lawn equipment the company
produced. Another manufacturer still
produces lawn equipment with the Bunton
brand name.
