Bunton Lawn Equipment

By the mid-1960s, the second generation of Buntons had taken charge of various company operations.

Winfrey P. Bunton Jr. led the Bunton Seed Co. at the new location at 939 E. Jefferson and his brother, Herbert F. Bunton, led the lawn equipment division to become a spin-off company.

The lawn equipment concern, called The Bunton Co., operated on Poplar Level Road. Years later, that company was acquired by another lawn equipment manufacturer -- and a line of mowers is still produced that carries the Bunton brand name.

The 1966 catalog was among the first to feature the company's current Bunton's Seed logo.

Bunton Mower: The "Amazing" Lawn Lark was among a large line of Bunton lawn equipment the company produced. Another manufacturer still produces lawn equipment with the Bunton brand name.
