Roaring
'20s
The 1928 catalog reflected
rapid expansion of the business only four years
after its founding -- mirroring national economic
prosperity of the decade.
From Page 3 of the
catalog:
The picture above is of
our new Home, opened for business on December 10th.
This larger store 334-336 is only five doors east
of our old location. More room and new fixture
equipment will enable us to efficiently and
promptly serve our rapidly increasing trade. We
would like for you to see our new store. If you did
not visit us on our opening day we will be pleased
to have you come for inspection any time that suits
your convenience.
We claim to be
Louisville's progressive Seed Store, having come
into first place in only a few years by being able
to supply the highest quality of the greatest
varieties of seeds, and lawn, garden and farm
supplies, with a service that the buying public
requires.

After less than
four years of operation, the company moved
to its second home -- five doors east of
the original location on Jefferson Street
